My master bedroom is the only room in the house that won't get warm, what could cause that?
If the air coming from the vent in your master bedroom is warmer than the air in the rest of the house, your heater may not be large enough to make your whole house comfortable. If the air isn't being forced out as much as through the vents in other rooms, you may have a duct leak. We would need to run some tests and provide you with an accurate diagnosis.
What's causing the thermostat to read a different temperature than the actual temperature in my house?
If you have an old thermostat, you may need to replace it. If your thermostat is newer, it may need to be recalibrated. If the thermostat is located on an outside wall or is exposed to sunlight, it can cause the ready to be wrong. The only way to know for sure is for us to do some tests.
The fan unit outside is making a whining noise, can I still run the air conditioner?
If the outdoor unit is making a screeching or grinding noise, don't run the unit until your technician checks it out. Sometimes older units will whine if the fan housing has loosened or they are very dirty. A small whine isn't enough to shut the unit down unless it's concerning to you. However, you do need to get your HVAC system serviced so it's better to be safe than sorry.
